Abstract
A case of gelatinous degeneration of the bone-marrow in a man aged 29 years is presented. The condition had developed on account of a combination of prolonged inadequate calorie and protein intake and physically demanding sport (triathlon). This has not been described previously. Accumulation of a gelatinous substance in the bone-marrow was found. Histochemical investigation demonstrated that this consisted of acid-mucopolysaccharides.Entities:
