Abstract
Indigenous people in Australia and New Zealand experience rates of ESKD several times higher than non-indigenous people. This relative rate is highest among people aged 45 - 54 for Aboriginal Australians, and 65 - 74 years for Maori. The majority of this is driven by diabetic nephropathy. Both groups have lesser utilization of transplantation as a renal replacement therapy than non-indigenous comparators, and lesser utilization of home dialysis modalities.Entities:
