Abstract
To illustrate a modified archwire during space closure with anterior anchorage in Bidimensional Tecnique. The archwire used was a .018x.025 SS on the anterior teeth and .018 SS on the lateral and posterior teeth in order to maintain anterior anchorage using torque and uprighting springs as showed in Bidmensional Technique but exerting lighter forces (150 g). The double section archwire resulted to be an effective alternative option to optimize the lateral and posterior sliding mechanics with controlled tipping and by the application of lighter forces.Mesh:
