Cycloartane glycosides from the rhizomes of Curculigo orchioides.

Abstract

Cycloartane glycosides (1-9) were isolated from rhizomes of Curculigo orchioides (Hypoxidaceae), and this structures were determined by spectroscopic analysis and a few chemical transformations. Cytotoxic activity of glycosides (1-9) and their common aglycone (1a) against HL-60 human promyelocytic leukemia cells was also examined.
