Abstract
The usefulness of ultrasonography in detecting intra-articular effusion of the hip joint is discussed in the light of three cases. In all these patients, effusion was demonstrated by ultrasonography and confirmed by aspiration of inflammatory synovial fluid from the joint, though the joint was clinically symptomless. It is recommended that all rheumatologists use ultrasonography.Entities:
