Abstract
A 2-day-old Holstein calf was admitted to the Veterinary Teaching Hospital (VTH) in St-Hyacinthe for respiratory distress. Thoracic auscultations revealed asymmetric lung sounds. A diaphragmatic hernia was diagnosed on thoracic radiographs. Herniorrhaphy was performed; postoperative recovery was uneventful. This case indicates that diaphragmatic hernia in calves can be surgically treated successfully.Entities:
