Management of air regurgitation through a jones tube in a patient using continuous positive airway pressure.

David S Goldberg1.

Abstract

56-year-old man who had previously undergone Jones tube placement began nasal continuous positive airway pressure for obstructive sleep apnea. Continuous positive airway pressure was not tolerated due to air regurgitation. A novel and simple treatment was devised by taping a small piece of wet cotton over the external end of the tube.
