Abstract
Intraoperative ultrasound (iUS) provides low-cost real-time imaging that is simple and rapid to use. Recent advances in probe technology, image fusion, 3D techniques and contrast have led to significant improvements in image quality. This article provides an overview of the current uses of iUS, including technical advice for practical use, and future directions.Mesh:
