Abstract
Immune thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP), once known as idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura, is an autoimmune disorder. ITP can occur acutely or chronically, and ranges in severity from mild to life-threatening. The signs and symptoms, treatment, and nursing care for patients with this disorder are discussed.Entities:
