Abstract
The numerous and varying effects of androgen deficiency in males cause an array of symptoms and complaints any of which can be the trigger for a medical consultation. It is, therefore, important to consider the possibility of late onset hypogonadism (LOH) in a patient who is presenting with any such symptoms. This review describes LOH and the current guidelines for its treatment and management. Also discussed are the normal changes undergone by men as they age and the effects that are expected due to this change. The relationship between LOH and its effects on both sexuality and fertility are also considered.Entities:
