Abstract
Biomechanics are central in understanding the pathophysiology and magnetic resonance (MR) imaging of overhead throwing athlete injuries. Repetitive excessive valgus forces at the elbow result in characteristic injuries due to medial joint distraction, lateral joint compression, and rotatory forces at the olecranon.
