Abstract
The cationic porphyrin TPrPyP4, with four propyl substituents in the pyridinium rings, is evaluated in vitro by spectroscopic and polymerase-stop assays as a G4-DNA ligand and in cultured cells as a modulator of gene transcription. A comparison with the widely used TMPyP4 is presented.Entities:
