Abstract

The X-ray structures of () cis-PtBr(2)(P(OMe)(3))(2), () cis-PtBr(2)(P(OMe)(2)Ph)(2), () cis-PtBr(2)(P(OMe)Ph(2))(2), () cis-PtBr(2)(PPh(3))(2), () cis-PtI(2)(P(OMe)(3))(2), () cis-PtI(2)(P(OMe)(2)Ph)(2), () cis-PtI(2)(P(OMe)Ph(2))(2) and () cis-PtI(2)(PPh(3))(2) are reported and compared with the previously reported chloride analogues. The magnitude of the J{Pt-P} varies linearly with the Pt-P bond length (l(Pt-P) = 2.421 -J/24255) for these 12 complexes.
