Abstract

The reduction of tetrachloroaurate ions (AuCl(4)(-)) with 2-[4-(2-hydroxyethyl)-1-piperazinyl]ethanesulfonic acid (HEPES) was used to detect alkaline phosphatase (ALP) activity.
