Abstract
The aim of this study is to present the diagnosis and management of anastomotic leakage after colon resection. Early diagnosis and urgent therapeutic intervention are required in order to avert life-threatening conditions that may be caused by anastomotic leakage. Minor leaks can be managed conservatively with successful outcomes. Major leaks should be managed operatively. In conclusion, leakage of colonic anastomosis remains the most serious complication after colon resection.Entities:
