Abstract
The European Centre for the Validation of Alternative Methods (ECVAM) has recently been established. The Centre will co-ordinate at Community level the validation of alternative test methods, maintain a database and act as a focal point for the exchange of information on alternative procedure, and carry out research and training. ECVAM aims to promote dialogue between legislators, industries, biomedical scientists, consumer organisations and animal welfare groups with a view to the development, validation and international recognition of alternative test methods.Year: 1994 PMID: 20693016 DOI: 10.1016/0887-2333(94)90072-8
