Abstract
We report the case of a 3-month-old boy with novel influenza A (H1N1) infection complicated by pericardial effusion. The patient was treated with pericardial drainage, oseltamivir, and ibuprofen and improved. Pericarditis and pericardial effusion have been occasionally associated with influenza A infections. To our knowledge, this is the first case of pericardial effusion reported during the current novel influenza A (H1N1) pandemic.Entities:
