Abstract
In a follow-up study, the functional and occlusal status of patients after orthodontic space closure of missing incisors is compared with those who were not orthodontically treated. The investigation involved a method of instrument registration of TMJ function. The findings show that occlusion of our former patients in various mandibular positions is slightly different from ideal occlusal concept and we found no increased functional risk in this kind of treatment. In cases with missing incisors, orthodontic space closure that avoids prosthetic procedures should be taken into consideration.Entities:
