Abstract
Two cases of primary malignant lymphoma of the thyroid were diagnosed by fine-needle aspiration biopsy. In addition to morphologic evaluation performed on direct smears, immunophenotyping, flow cytometry, and molecular studies were performed on the aspirated material. These additional studies made a clear distinction between lymphoma and Hashimoto's thyroiditis, which may present a similar cytologic picture.Entities:
