Abstract
In this study, we investigated the effect of fucoidan polysaccharide sulfuric acid ester (FPS) from Laminaria japonica Aresch (Laminariaceae) on hyperlipidemic rats. FPS notably reduced the concentration of serum total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) of hyperlipidemic rats and increased the concentration of high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) and the activities of lipoprotein lipase (LPL), hepatic lipoprotein (HL), and lecithin cholesterol acyltransferase (LCAT).Entities:
