Benign pathologies of the liver often include several cystic diseases, such as simple cysts, autosomal dominant polycystic liver disease, and Caroli's disease. The differential of hepatic cysts also includes infectious pathologies, such as pyogenic liver abscess, hydatid cysts, and parasitic infections if the appropriate clinic setting.
