Abstract
Hemorrhagic events in patients undergoing fibrinolytic therapy for acute myocardial infarction are well known. We report a case of acute compression of the median nerve caused by a hematoma in the carpal tunnel following infusion of streptokinase in a 71 year-old man with acute myocardial infarction. Operative decompression was carried out. The postoperative course was uneventful, with complete recovery from symptoms of median nerve entrapment.Entities:
