Abstract
Cambrian Orsten-type fossils have yielded specimens with a uniquely detailed morphology from the early stages of animal evolution. A newly discovered crustacean larva illustrates how morphology and lifestyle over half a billion years ago closely resembled those of extant relatives. Copyright 2010 Elsevier Ltd.
