Abstract
The nature and structure of public health technology are discussed in relation to both individual and community aspects of health problems. The concept of public health strategy is illustrated in the field of tuberculosis control by means of 100 age- and stratum-specific activity alternatives, based on 15 fundamental tasks. Estimation of the respective levels (numbers) of tasks in the activities is based on Korean epidemiological, clinical, and operational considerations. This leads to the formulation of a matrix of tuberculosis control technology for the Republic of Korea, which is discussed in the light of present-day practices in that country.Entities:
