Abstract
Although the concept of employing ultrasound for the treatment of cancer is not a new one, virtually all existing ultrasound-based clinical cancer treatments are based on hyperthermic ablation. This review seeks to highlight the potential offered by more subtle ultrasound-triggered phenomena such as sonoporation in delivering novel targeted cancer treatment modalities. 2010.
