Abstract

SUMMARY: Stretched Guglielmi detachable coils (GDCs; Boston Scientific, USA) can be easily broken if forceful manipulation is applied. However, coil fracture without stretching has not been known. We report an extremely unusual occurrence of fracture without coil stretching during aneurysm embolization.
