Abstract

SUMMARY: We report a rare complication of carotid artery stenting (CAS) in a patient with severe carotid artery stenosis.CAS with a protection of the Parodi Anti-Emboli System was complicated by an abrupt flow arrest in the internal carotid artery before the guidewire passage through the stenotic site.
