Subfrontal-basal interhemispheric approach for anterior communicating artery aneurysms. Technical note.

S Wakai1.

Abstract

The author modified the standard pterional-subfrontal approach for anterior communicating artery aneurysms. By dissecting the basal interhemispheric fissure several centimeters caudally, the aneurysm, even one of high position and projecting posteriorly, can be exposed fully without removing the rectal gyrus.
