Abstract
Enterococcus mundtii, a recently described nonmotile, yellow-pigmented enterococcal species, was isolated from a chronic thigh abscess and from operatively obtained sinus mucosa. It is emphasized that this species may be encountered in clinical specimens and that the correct species identification may be missed when commercially available identification systems are relied on.Entities:
