Abstract
The persistent radical, [BCl(2)(bipy)](*) (bipy = 2,2'-bipyridyl), has been prepared and characterised by X-ray crystallography, ESR and DFT calculations. The structure is compared with that of the cation, [BCl(2)(bipy)](+).Entities:
