[Primary extracranial meningioma of the eyelid].

A case of a primarily extracranial meningioma of the eyelid, so far not reported in literature, is discussed. As mentioned in literature, this case of an extracranial meningioma has also irritated both the physician and the pathologist, due to its uncharacteristic clinical, radiological and histological manifestation. The possibility of an extracranial meningioma as a cause of a head and neck mass should be borne in mind.
