Abstract
Olopatadine hydrochloride ophthalmic solution 0.2% is a new once-daily formulation of olopatadine that is indicated for the treatment of ocular itching associated with allergic conjunctivitis. This formulation has demonstrated a safety, efficacy and comfort profile similar to that of olopatadine 0.1%. The advantages of once-daily dosing, however, may include cost-effectiveness, improvement in patient compliance and an improvement in quality of life. This review article will summarize literature reports on the 0.2% formulation of olopatadine from the standpoint of efficacy, safety, total treatment costs, therapeutic outcomes, patient compliance and effect on quality of life.Entities:
