Improved seating of ceramic inlays with a silicone fit-checking medium.

Abstract

This study investigated the use of a silicone fit-checking medium as an indicator for internal adjustments to improve the seating of ceramic inlays. The fit-checking medium helped reduce the marginal opening by 290 microns, accounting for a 70% improvement in marginal seating.
