Abstract
An immunocompetent man acquired a localized cutaneous infection caused by the atypical mycobacterium Mycobacterium chelonae. This was successfully treated with controlled localized heating with a hand-held radiofrequency heat generator. Possible mechanisms of effects of heat on this organism are discussed.Entities:
