Ruptured vasa praevia indicated by a sinusoidal fetal heart rate pattern: a case report.

Abstract

A sinusoidal heart rate pattern is usually considered to signify fetal distress. A case is reported in which the diagnosis vasa praevia was considered 20 h after a short period of vaginal bleeding, after the occurrence of a sinusoidal heart-rate pattern.
