Results from multivariable analysis with mixed linear models in which all available data points for each individual, at baseline and following migration, were used. If possible, models were fitted for men and women combined, where not possible they were fitted separately.
Potential predictors considered for BMI were age, physical activity, dietary score/dietary items.
Potential predictors considered for all other outcomes were age, sex (male and female combined models) BMI, physical activity, dietary score/dietary items, alcohol consumption.
Dietary scores were entered first but where none of the scores were significant predictors individual dietary items were then evaluated.
