Adverse vaccinal events in dogs and cats.

Adverse vaccinal events, or perceived vaccine-associated adverse events, are relatively uncommon in companion animal practice. These events, however, often evoke great concern to owners and veterinarians. Because of the low incidence of these events and the large number of potential antigenic causes, exact mechanisms are often difficult to elucidate.
