Reduction of gas contamination in the operating room.

Abstract

The level of anesthetic gas considered to be hazardous for operating room personnel is as yet unknown, but the least possible contamination is desirable. This paper discusses methods of reducing contamination from several sources - the anesthetic machine, high pressure leaks, low pressure leaks, and from anesthetists' poor habits.
