Abstract
Social class was not an effective determinant of emergency department utilization at one urban Canadian hospital. Characteristics such as: age between 15 and 29, male sex, no identifiable family physician, residential tenure of six months or less and multiple emergency visits were better predictors than social class of emergency use for non-urgent conditions.Year: 1975 PMID: 20469156 PMCID: PMC2274514
