A system for evaluating and classifying data in family practice.

O F Mixa.

Abstract

A comparison between various reports on general morbidity shows a considerable lack of uniformity, diminishing their value as comparable entities. A system is proposed in order to give a clearer definition of the diagnostic depth and direction for each diagnostic label. By using a few defined levels of the diagnostic interchange for the classification of illness, the interpretation of morbidity evaluation and comparison between various studies might become more meaningful.Various examples of the system's implementation for longitudinal practice evaluation and vertical practice comparisons are demonstrated.
