Empowering advanced practitioners to set up nurse led clinics for improved outpatient care.

Abstract

Nurse led clinics have been shown to provide more efficient outpatient care and reduce waiting times. A hospital urology department set up two clinics to improve the patient care pathway, one of which is led by advanced nurse practitioners. This article describes the training and development audit results and plans.
