Abstract
Changes in cardiac structure and function detected by echocardiography are common in patients with chronic kidney disease undergoing hemodialysis, and have been recognized as key outcome predictors. This review attempts to summarize recent evidence pointing to the usefulness of the method in the detection of clinical and subclinical cardiac dysfunction, stratification of cardiovascular risk and assessment of intervention strategies.Entities:
