Abstract
Two new cembranoids, namely granosolides C (1) and D (2), along with one known cembranoid 4, were isolated from the soft coral Sinularia granosa. Chemical investigation of Sinularia querciformis also afforded one new cembranoid, querciformolide E (3), along with four known cembranoids 4-7. The structures of these compounds were elucidated on the basis of their spectroscopic data. Both 4 and 5 were shown to significantly inhibit the accumulation of the pro-inflammatory inducible nitric oxide synthase protein in lipopolysaccharide-stimulated RAW264.7 macrophage cells.Entities:
