[Change in color of a papillomatous nevus].

R Hofmann-Wellenhof1.

Abstract

A 43-year-old patient presented with a skin tumor on her back that had been slowly changing in color. Dermatoscopy showed an asymmetric lesion with two different parts. One part exhibited characteristics of a melanoma (blue-white veil, irregular pigment network) and the other an unspecific pattern of a papillomatous nevus. Histological examination of the completely excised tumor revealed a nevus-associated melanoma.
