Abstract
The authors recently observed a boy with bilateral choroidal neovascularization associated with Best's disease and compared the outcome of photodynamic therapy in one eye with the natural history of the untreated fellow eye. The final outcome of photodynamic therapy was inactive choroidal neovascularization, which seemed to be enveloped by the retinal pigment epithelium. The final appearance of the treated lesion was similar to the natural evolution of choroidal neovascularization in the untreated fellow eye. Copyright (c) 2010, SLACK Incorporated.Entities:
