Abstract
In this essay, we describe our experience with a sonographic technique utilizing the foramen magnum to more clearly define anatomy in the neonatal posterior fossa. This approach can be used as an additional problem-solving tool in neonates with post-hemorrhagic hydrocephalus and a variety of posterior fossa abnormalities. The foramen magnum view is easily mastered and produces diagnostic images with little additional scanning time.Entities:
