Changes in adipose tissue and increased serum cholesterol of coronary patients following training.

C Allard, M Alteresco, R J Ferguson, L Chaniotis, G Choquette, J Skinner.

Abstract

A study was undertaken to investigate whether a physical training effect could be observed in the adipose tissue composition of coronary patients. The results indicated that there was an increase in the proportion of palmitic acid and a decrease in oleic acid. These changes were accompanied by an increase in blood cholesterol.
