Abstract
Osteoid osteoma rarely involves the phalanges of the toes. Basically osteoid osteoma is often a diagnostic dilemma in musculoskeletal practice especially in the foot and ankle. Its presentation is confusing and this may result in delayed diagnosis. We have reported a case of osteoid osteoma of the distal phalanx of the second toe which was treated successfully with surgical excision and reviewed the literature.Entities:
