Can life-style changes reverse coronary atherosclerosis?

D Ornish1.

Abstract

"It seemed to me that bypass surgery had become a metaphor for an incomplete approach to coronary heart disease: bypassing the problem without also dealing with the underlying causes.... What would happen if those causes were addressed more directly?" The author goes on to describe an intensive risk-modification regimen to arrest or even reverse progression of atherosclerosis.
