Abstract
The importance of the approach of risk analysis in industry, as an anticipatory action to prevent disasters, and the principles involved in it are discussed. Toxicological considerations of long-term low-dose exposure during routine operations and short-term high-dose exposure after chemical accidents are outlined. On the basis of these concepts a rationale for preliminary assessment of disaster-prone industries is presented.Mesh:
